T-Mobile is the brand name used by a mobile communications subsidiary of the German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom AG. The brand is active in Austria (under the subsidiary of T-Mobile Austria), Czech Republic (T-Mobile Czech Republic), Netherlands (T-Mobile Nederland), Poland (T-Mobile Polska), and United States (T-Mobile USA ). The name was previously used by subsidiaries in other countries, including Albania (now Telekom Albania), Croatia (now Hrvatski Telekom), Germany (now Deutsche Telekom), Hungary (now Magyar Telekom), Macedonia (now Makedonski Telekom), Montenegro (now Crnogorski Telekom), United Kingdom (now EE Limited), Romania (now Telekom Romania), and Slovakia (now Slovak Telekom).

T-Mobile International AG subsequently lost relevance when Deutsche Telekom changed its structure to adopt regional arrangements (Germany, Europe, USA) in 2009 by incorporating previously established separate and mobile subsidiaries to form an integrated local business.

When T-Mobile International AG exists, the holding company based in Bonn, Germany and its subsidiaries operates GSM, UMTS and LTE cellular networks in Europe, the United States, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. The company owns financial shares in mobile operators in Central and Eastern Europe. Globally, T-Mobile International's subsidiary has a combined total of approximately 230 million subscribers. T-Mobile International is the world's third largest mobile phone service provider by fourth largest customer and multinational company after Vodafone UK, Airtel India and TelefÃÆ'³nica from Spain.

Histori

The first mobile communications service in Germany is a radio telephone system owned and operated by a state post monopoly, Deutsche Bundespost . It launched the first generation of analogue C-Netz ("Network C", marketed as C-Tel ), Germany's first mobile phone network in 1985.

On 1 July 1989, West Germany reorganized the Deutsche Bundespost and consolidated telecommunications into a new unit, Deutsche Bundespost Telekom . On July 1, 1992, he began operating the first GSM network in Germany, along with C-Netz, as a subsidiary of DeTeMobil. The GSM 900 MHz frequency band is referred to as "D-Netz", and Telekom names its services D1 ; a private consortium granted a second license (now Vodafone Germany) chose the name D2 .

Deutsche Bundespost Telekom was renamed to Deutsche Telekom AG on January 1, 1995 as part of phase two of German communication reform. The deregulation process continued in November 1996, when DT was privatized and had the largest European IPO at the time, with the abbreviation of 'DT 1' stock. In the same year, DT started to brand its subsidiary with T-prefix, renaming the DeTeMobil T-Car branch.

In 2002, when DT consolidated its international operations, it changed the name of T-Mobil to T-Mobile .

On July 5, 2005, Deutsche Telekom changed its structure and adopted regional arrangements (Germany, Europe, USA). Where available, local mobile businesses are combined with their respective local cable businesses to follow an integrated business approach.

At the end of 2007, it was ensured that the incorporation of high-speed 3G and HSDPA networks operated by T-Mobile UK and 3 (UK) will run from January 2008. It leaves T-Mobile and 3 with the largest mobile HSDPA phone network in the country. In 2009, France TÃ © Ã © lÃÆ'Â © Com Orange and DT, T-Mobile's parents, announced they are in advanced talks to combine their UK operations to create the largest mobile carrier in the UK. In March 2010, the European Commission approved the merger on condition that the joint company sells 25% of its spectrum on the 1800 MHz radio band and change the network sharing agreement with smaller competitors 3. The merger is completed in the next month, the new company name then announced as EE. Orange and T-Mobile continue to be a separate brand in the market until 2015, both run by a new parent company.

D. Power and Associates, a global marketing information service company, puts the highest among major wireless carriers to retail store satisfaction four years in a row and the highest for wireless subscriber service two years in a row.

The company is licensed to operate GSM PCS 1900MHz digital cellular network and UMTS AWS 1700 MHz digital mobile network covering the continents of the US, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands. After an unsuccessful attempt by AT & T in 2011 to buy the company in a $ 39 billion stock and cash offer (withdrawn after facing significant regulatory and legal hurdles, along with heavy US government resistance), T-Mobile USA announced its intention to joined MetroPCS Communications, Inc., the sixth largest carrier in the US, to improve its competitiveness with other national carriers; The deal was approved by the Department of Justice and the Federal Communications Commission in March 2013.
