The goals and key results ( OKR ) are the frameworks for defining and tracking their goals and results.

The OKR framework was created by Intel CEO Andy Grove and brought to Google by venture capitalist John Doerr and was used by several companies including Google, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Uber.

The OKR framework aims to define the "objectives" of the company and the team along with related and measurable "key results" to provide "a sustainable framework of critical thinking and discipline that seeks to ensure employees work together, focusing their efforts on making measurable contributions." OKR is typically set in companies, teams and personal levels and can be shared across the organization with the goal of providing teams with visibility of purpose with a view to aligning and focusing efforts.
