Camp summer or night sleep camp is a supervised program for children or teenagers performed over the summer in some countries. Children and teenagers who attend summer camp are known as camping . Summer schools are usually an academic curriculum that is required for a student to make unfinished work during the academic year, while summer camps may include academic work, but are not a requirement for graduation.
The traditional view of summer camps as woody spots with hiking, canoeing and bonfires is changing, with greater acceptance of a new kind of summer camp offering a wide range of special activities. The best sports camps do more than improve the skills of soccer, tennis, lacrosse, or wrestling at camp; they help each child become a more skilled athlete, a friendlier competitor, a more committed team player, and a more confident person.

Weight or "fat" camps are for overweight kids, teens, and adults to learn about losing weight and keeping it up while having a summer camp experience.
