RankBrain is an algorithm that studies the artificial intelligence system, a use confirmed by Google on October 26, 2015. It helps Google to process search results and provides more relevant search results to users. In a 2015 interview, Google commented that RankBrain is the third most important factor in ranking algorithms along with links and content. In 2015, "RankBrain is used for less than 15% of questions." The results show that RankBrain produces good results in 10% of the team of Google search engine engineers.
If RankBrain sees unfamiliar words or phrases, the machine can guess what words or phrases have similar meanings and filter out the appropriate results, making them more effective in handling search queries that have never been seen before or keywords. Search queries are sorted into word vectors, also known as "distributed representations," which are close to each other in terms of linguistic similarities. RankBrain tries to map this query into words (entities) or a set of words that have the best chance of matching them. Therefore, RankBrain tries to guess what people mean and record the results, which adapt the results to provide better user satisfaction.
There are over 200 different ranking factors that make up the ranking algorithm, whose exact functionality in the Google algorithm is not fully disclosed. Behind content and links, RankBrain is considered the third most important signal in ranking Google search. While Google has not acknowledged any order of importance, only RankBrain is one of the three most important of its search ranking signals. When offline, RankBrain is assigned a collection of previous searches and learning by matching search results. Studies show how RankBrain is better at interpreting the relationship between words. This may include the use of stop words in the search query ("the," "and," without, "etc) Ã, - words previously ignored by Google but sometimes very important to fully understand the meaning or intent in behind a person's search query, it can also describe patterns between seemingly disconnected searches, to understand how searches are similar to each other. After RankBrain's results are verified by the Google team, the system is updated and displayed again. In August 2013, Google has published a post about how they use AI to learn searchers' intentions.
Google has stated that it uses an ASIC tensor processing unit (TPU) to process RankBrain requests.

Impact on digital marketing
RankBrain has allowed Google to speed up its algorithmic testing for keyword categories to try to select the best content for a particular keyword search. This means that the old method of ranking games with fake signals is becoming increasingly ineffective and the highest quality content from a human perspective is ranked higher in Google
